Intuitive Surgical Da Vinci Xi

Intuitive Surgical is a company that develops advanced robotics systems for minimally invasive surgery. The Da Vinci Xi is their current flagship system, launched in 2014. It can perform multiple complex internal surgeries through a half-inch incision, vastly improving patient outcomes and recovery times.

Intuitive contracted Bould Design for design support in the final development stages of the Xi. I worked closely with Intuitive's design director and engineering team to execute the a completely new design language throughout the entire Patient Side System.

Over 10 million surgeries have been performed on Intuitive systems, and the Da Vinci Xi continues to be the most advanced minimally invasive surgical system available to surgeons today.
