R-Zero Beam

R-Zero was founded at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic to respond to the urgent need for disinfection equipment for everyday spaces. Beam is their second product, and is the world's first autonomous upper-room germicidal irradiation system.

I led a team of designers on this project, working closely with R-Zero's engineering team and contract manufacturer. We leveraged low-investment sheet metal forming techniques to reduce time to market while creating a natural extension of the design language from R-Zero's first product, Arc.

Beam is currently being deployed in a wide variety of environments from schools to sports and entertainment venues. R-Zero has raised $170M in funding to date to further their vision of safer, cleaner everyday spaces.
