Eight Sleep Pod

The Eight Sleep Pod is a smart mattress system designed to keep you at a comfortable temperature all night long while tracking accurate sleep data. The system consists of a memory foam mattress, a mattress cover with embedded sensors and a liquid heating and cooling layer, and a bedside unit that houses the electronics and water reservoir.

I led the industrial design for the bedside device, managing a small team. The goal was to design a device that would be intuitive and easy to set up and refill while being as unobtrusive as possible in a bedroom environment.

The Eight Sleep Pod is popular with everyone from couples that prefer different bed temperatures to athletes that carefully optimize their recovery. Eight has raised $160M+ in funding to date, with the Sleep Pod being their flagship product.
