Carbon Robotics
Most robotic arms are dangerous to be around. Carbon Robotics was a startup that developed "cobots" - robots designed to be used alongside humans without injuring them. Carbon saw an opportunity to deploy low-cost robotic arms with high-tech proximity sensing alongside human operators in industrial applications.
I led a team of designers on this project. We developed an soft, approachable, yet technologically advanced aesthetic for Carbon's first product. Carbon Robotics shut down in 2019.
